i have read that being home schooled at the end u have to take your ged test. i just started so im not that sure about it. that’s my first question. is it true. also i do plan on going to college. i would like to know how i can go about that. any scholarships or anything if i have my ged. and Information about this is helpful. thank you.

We have 4 children. 3 chose the public school route. 1 hated ps from the start. So we hs. She is now l6 and attending Ivy Tech community college. She hopes to go on to a good university in the next year or two and maybe get scholarships from the good grades from the community college. We contacted the admissions dept by phone and asked specifically what they wanted from a hs student. THey even gave me a transcript form to use! and they told us the sat scores were important. Also any volunteer things you do should be kept track o f (like girl scouts or volunteering at the red cross, coaching little league …etc)
Good luck with your pursuit of your education. It sounds like you are devoted and have a good head on your shoulders. You are wise to get counsel from other people who have been there and done it…it saves you time and usually leads to some good shortcuts or hints!
The big thing is the SAT so good luck. The public library has lots of study aids for that. And there are alot o fonline study resourses too…check these out:
